Want to know how to save money when hiring a photo booth service?
Introducing Idle Hours!
Photobooth idle hours refer to periods when the photo booth is set up and ready but not actively in use for taking photos or videos.
This option is often utilised when there is downtime between different phases of an event.
For example, during a wedding, the couple may want the photo booth available during the first hour of reception, idle for the next hour during dinner and speeches, and opened up again for a couple of hours once the partying and dancing is starting.
Idle hours help manage these gaps without the photo booth being charged for continuous use, offering flexibility and cost efficiency.
So instead of being charged the full hourly rate when the photo booth is not in use, clients will only be charged $60 per hour for the photo booth to sit idle.
Idle hours are ideal for ensuring the photo booth is ready to go when needed while accommodating event schedules without unnecessary costs.
An Example Event Where Photobooth Idle Hours Were Used to Save Money
A client wanted the photo booth idle during dinner and the awards presentation, so we came up with the following schedule where they were able to save money:
500 - 530pm - 30 mins operation - $200
530 - 630pm - 1 hr idle (dinner) - $60
630 - 700pm - 30 mins operation - $200
700 - 800pm - 1 hr idle (awards presentation and speeches) - $60
800 - 930pm - 90 mins operation - $600
So the total cost for this event was $1,120.
However, had it not been for the idle hours, and if the client was billed $400 per hour instead, the cost of the event would have been $1,800 instead, which represents a $680 saving!
